The problem with this site is it's too close to the entry point. Therefore you can a ridiculous amount of traffic coming past the site, daytrippers, fisherfolk and such. Also the beach may look alluring but be prepared for sand in your mac & cheese with every bite friends. Muskrat out.

Visited this site but did not stay. Nice sandy beach site. Large open spaces and several tent pads. Loses a star due to proximity to 2 other campsites.

Nice sandy beach, after a long week this was nice for the last night. Close to ep, which was nice other than the noise(several car alarms and dogs) this was not the most peaceful location in the BWCA but large gathering area, nice hammock trees, about three good size tent locations. i think this was one with a difficult bear bag hang but not impossible. I believe we had to walk into the woods a good distance.

I can see the prior points but for what we were looking for it was fantastic. Great site for kids or in our case a dog that needs to run. Yes it is close to other campsites but that was nice as we were secluded for many days and took this site on our way home. BUG FREE= awesome (minimized at worst). For a big group this site is great. Huge fire area-I counted 7 capable tent pads. Also if you have any over flow (I know 9 is the limit), campsites are near by. Site faces west and has gorgous sunsets. The beach was very nice for a change. I liked this campsite but only after 4 days in the bush as a relief for my pup and from bugs. I highly recommend for any first timer family campers. Easy trek from launch and would be a great base camp for a family with kids along.

Not a bad site for being close to an EP. Sandy beach, rather large common area. Poor fishing. Plenty of firewood. You can walk along the shoreline to the next site, which is worse. Only a 30-45 minute paddle to pull out.
