Camp Notes:
Great site on a sandy beach. Nice view of this part of the lake from the fire grate area and beach. Plenty of room to camp in the woods behind the beach. Agree with WesternHills post regarding endless hammock options. We had 4 hammocks and a screen tent setup with room for more. We did well with walleye and smallmouth along the north shore of this lake.

This campsite is an absolute dream for the hammock campers. There's endless hammock options...and then even more. Not much else to say that hasn't already been thoroughly covered in previous reviews. This is a great site!

Camp Notes:
One of the few sites that I have found in BWCA that has a sandy beach. However the bottom soon turns to mucky mud so swimming is not as good as one might think. We also got leeches from swimming here. Fire grate area is exposed to afternoon sun so on a hot day you have to go back in the cedars where it is really dark. The site is secluded so you probably won't see many other people around. Of course with the sandy beach canoe landing is easy.

Great campsite with many hammock trees back in the woods from the fire grate. Sandy beach landing was super nice and almost constant breeze from the west kept the bugs at bay. The fire grate has almost no cover, so a fly nearby is recommended.

Camp Notes:
Large sandy beach landing that conveniently morphs into a more gravel like area near the fire grate and beyond. There is good log seating and a large sawn off stump that can serve as a great table or stool. A lush, cooling grove of cedar trees provide multiple areas for tents & hammocks. There is even a unique cedar right near shore that provides a great perch from which to rest & catch the lake breeze on for those nimble enough. Firewood was tough to come by in camp but, there's an abundance of old beaver wood around the lake that can easily be gathered when out & about.

By far the BEST campsite I have ever been on in the BWCA! Sandy beach that slopes into the water perfectly for the easiest landing you could ever ask for. The site has a great Cedar canopy that we pitched the tent under - room for a couple more tents. Great kitchen area, lots of trees for hanging food or hammocks. Caught some nice Bluegill just down the shore from camp. Site is pretty secluded - not much traffic.

Camp Notes:
Large beach campsite. Excellent boat landing and good swimming. It has 2 decent tent pads under the shade of the cedars. Possibly a spot for a third tent outside the tree line, but it would get constant afternoon sun. The closeness of all the cedar trees would make this a good site for hammocks as well. Caught some large bluegills from shore. Largest was 10.5 inches.

The sandy beach was a great landing and great for swimming but we found that the sand got into EVERYTHING. Our bags, clothes, food. Otherwise a very nice site.

Excellent site, off the beaten path so pretty quiet. Great common/kitchen area, lots of tarp room, good tent sites, nice bear hang tree right in camp if that's what you do, awesome sand beach landing and swimming. Okay sunset view, no sunrise view.

Killer site. There is a 50 foot stretch of white
sandy beach here. No joke. Great swimming, and
great walleye fishing to the north of the site.
Large camping area in the cedar forest behind the
beach.
