Great view of shell lake, nice cooking area, caught 2 walleye from shore. Only 1 decent tent pad however as this is a small island site.

Nice little site with a great view. Good hearth. It was great for a soloist. Slept under my tarp on a nice browse bed near the hearth.

Fair canoe landing, decent fire pit area, poor tent pad
choices: we had three tents with the larger tent on the only
decent pad and two smaller ones fit in where we could. We
stayed two days only because the weather was cold, rainy and
windy otherwise we would have been gone after one. A plus
to this site was even though the fire grate was dreadfully
exposed our tents were protected back in the trees. I found
it to be a pretty location though.

Camp Notes:
This campsite has a beautiful kitchen area with plenty of good log sitting. It only has one good tent pad, but could fit a fairly large tent or two small ones. When we were there a large beaver considered this his campsite and was there every night in camp and in the woods behind and surrounding camp, including felling a tree in the middle of the night.

Very small, very little breeze. Only one adequate tent pad
