Ely, Minnesota is on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Ely is considered the hub of the western side of the BWCA. Ely is often the start and end point for a BWCA trip. Ely is a small town with many nice shops. It is also home to available lodging and many outfitters which service the western Bounday Waters.
