| Place Notes: | Bear walked through our campsite 1085 where treeline is while we were eating a late breakfast (around 11 AM). The bear had to have heard us and was only 15 feet or so away. When we spotted it we started yelling and making noise and the bear slowly wandered away into the woods - he did not seem to care much about all the noise we were making. Another bear was sighted (maybe the same) 2 days later on Thursday 05/25/2023 around the same time and area. Similar response from the bear that time as well. No additional incidents or sightings. |
