| Place Notes: | Was west of here about 100 yards and saw a few somethings swimming from north to south. Once it got on land we saw it was a momma bear and two cubs. We saw momma along the shoreline a few minutes later browsing on trees. My son got some bigfoot quality video. It seems reasonable that they swam from camp 1434. The campsite was occupied and later in the day it appears the campers left. The next day we saw new campers there and they lasted on night as well. Could be coincidence. We were camped at 1430, the SE part of the same island, about a half mile as the crow flies. Never saw or heard the bears in our camp. |
