| Place Notes: | We were told about a mine entrance in this area so spent a little time looking for it. A relatively short distance from portage trail on the left as you head north toward Jack Lake. We could go back into the cave a short distance before the tunnel went down and was completely under water. |

| Comment: | Mine was super dark- bring flashlight if you want to go more than 5 feet in. There was Moose droppings immediately outside. |

| Comment: | The mine entrance is located on the Jack end of the portage. Follow a 50ft trail opposite of the river and you will come to the mine. Very cool discovery. My 13 year old son was not very open to walking into the mine, even after I checked for bear tracks. |
