Place Notes: | Located here is an easy 40 rod portage for canoes. At its southern entrance is a gushing waterfall that is a great place to stop for lunch or pictures. The bay leading into it is shallow, and is divided by a beaver dam, but that was cut open by those before us. On our entry we were greeted by a massive juvenile eagle on the dam. Its mother and sibling would fly above us shortly after; what a sight! Also at this location is a massive submerged logging dock entirely intact just inches below the water. We almost didn't notice it until we were right on top of it. A great entry point to Trout Lake all around, would highly recommend. |
