Sunday, March 14, 2010:

Once we were up in the morning we all got ready for the day. We had hoarse voices from all the singing, laughing, yelling and talking we had done the day before. The bunkhouse provided a breakfast coupon for us at the “Come Back Inn”, which was right next door to Essen Haus, so we hit the trail to go for breakfast. Coffee was good and the food was excellent! Taking our time, enjoying our visit we finally checked out of the bunkhouse around 11.

Trix had purchased a new license plate holder for Joe and Kendra was bound and determined to get that bolt loose. Of course, being the women that we are, she was able to do that. They put the plate holder on and we headed out in our BW Outfitters tow. Once again, three wild women loose on the road!

We took our sweet time getting home - stopping for those Kodak moments along with potty breaks. We had to get pictures with the Big Orange Moose so we broke Trix’s cardinal rule “no back tracking” and turned around just so we could get them. While she ran into the store, Kendra and I decided that we wanted photos with the Big Buck. Walking over to it we were avoiding all the Moose Plums and dog scat in the grass - didn't want that on our feet. We tried to climb up and sit on him, but we weren’t tall enough to quite get up there. We made due by standing on the log - the photos are still fun!

By lunch time we were to Eau Claire so we pulled off on a portage and took a break for lunch. The restaurant we stopped at had a Sunday special on Bloody Mary's. It was finally the group leaders turn to drive so the girls could have their drink. Apparently they were very good. After lunch we hit the can for potty break before leaving. Trix sat on the bench patiently waiting (or so we thought). She actually blocked our doors so we had to get photo of her.

The hardest part of the trip was dividing the lodging bill by three. On the tow home there was a lot more Bull Skat going on riding in Joe. Lots of planning for future trips, lots of laughs and a lot of stuff discussed that we can’t put in this report - thus that’s the reason we refuse to grow up!

Total Rods on this trip: 88,000 # of voices lost: 3 Having the time of our lives: Priceless

As a post script we’d like to thank Adam for bringing us all together. I’ve made two friends for life - and more. Without you and BWCA.com we probably would have never met. THANK YOU!

Moose Plums, Barley and Doc - we truly were sorely disappointed that we missed you by such a short time. Don’t hold that against us! You guys are ALL “DA MAN”
