Day Four – Rain & Sun

It had rained all night and we woke to a light rain around 7 am. We got out of the tent to stretch and it began to rain harder, so we went back into the tent. John & I decided to read the book he had brought. The book, “The Wahoo”, was about Captain Richard O’Kane and his submarine named the Wahoo, set in the early 1940’s. We each read two pages aloud and then passed it over to the other person. Around noon we were tired of reading and checked the skies. The sun was starting to come out and being quite hungry by then, we had a large lunch. John set up the rods for smallie fishing with bobbers from the site. Well, no fish were to be found there but it was a great lazy day to wait out a tug on your line by lying stretched out on the rocks. Later on we tried to pack as much of our gear as we could so we could get an early start for Louisa. We made dinner, had a cocktail and crashed about 9 pm.
