Wednesday, June 17, 2015 Up at 5:30 and off to Argo again. After catching 8 walleyes over 20" on the way to the portage, we had to stop fishing and get moving. Insane morning for walleyes! We were blessed with glass calm water on Argo, along with hungry trout and smallies. We caught trout on everything we tried. Tail Dancers, Hot-n-Tots, spoons, and Shad Raps. When one of us would get a trout on, the other would reel in and start casting jigs for small mouth, catching 2 or 3 by the time the trout was in. Just a fantastic day of fishing. We baked trout again at the campsite on the north end by the portage to Darky, then headed back to Crooked.
