We wake up to another bluebird morning, and enjoy our site’s view as we sip coffee and eat breakfast.

Brian and I are fishing partners today, and it’s great to spend some hours with my oldest childhood friend. In the afternoon, he takes another big fish…who says walleyes won’t bite on a bright sunny day?

By mid-afternoon, the fishing shuts off nearly completely, despite mixing up our tactics and trying different spots. It just seemed strange as there was no discernable change in the weather. We had to leave tomorrow, but it was hard to complain, after each of us had caught our two largest walleyes ever over the course of the last three days. We are treated to another stunner of a sunset after the wind laid down.
