Saturday, August 31, 2013 Lakes Traveled: Good, Indiana, Basswood (Wind Bay), Wind Today was a travel day, I stopped writing in my journal so I don't remember all of the details. We broke camp and headed to Wind Lake today. Other people were heading in the same direction so we hurried to the island on Wind with the single campsite (1662) Which turned out to be another great site. The Landing was sketchy but we later realized there was a spot on the SW side of the point to pull up an ddock the canoe and pull it up into the trees. There was also a "livewell" on the north side. The site is heavily used and we packed out more than our share of trash. I guess that's what one unfortunately expects on an island site close to the busy Moose lake. We got out fishing again despite the persistent rain and kept a northern for supper that we carfully fried up with shorelunch beneath the tarp.
