Day 2 of 8
Sunday, June 16, 2019 We had a leisurely start to the day, including a pancake and sausage breakfast. We faced a choice of staying another night at our first camp site or moving further up the lake to make our subsequent push to Kawnipi shorter.

We decided to move further up the lake, getting back on the water at 11:15. We fished our way up the lake, catching numerous lakers (I lost track of the count) and stopping to see the moose pictograph on the west shore. We found a new campsite, made chicken quesadillas for lunch, napped, and relaxed. The day was a nice combination of making progress and still getting plenty of rest.

The weather was overcast and comfortably cool with light winds from the SSE.
