Slightly disappointed in the fishing, we decided to hit it hard this morning. It was another chilly morning (low was 34 degrees overnight) and the fog was pretty dense. We headed out pretty early and hit it pretty hard. We met a fisherman who was fishing off shore by his campsite who caught a 27" walleye the night before!!! This morning we had some luck. I caught a couple nice walleye (17/18") and my buddy pulled in a 32" northern. We always have fished out of kayaks, and have never had this much trouble landing a fish! It took both our efforts to get it our of the water. These fish are some serious fighters!!! The picture is me holding it, but I take no credit it catching it. We caught a couple more fish throughout the day. Overall some really great fishing.

We fished from our site again that evening, and I caught yet another nice Walleye. Right off our campsite. Tonight's meal was Cheeseburger Macaroni. Delicious and an easy BWCA meal.
