Trip Introduction:
In 2016 I did an 11 day trip to Quetico Provincial Park in northern Ontario for a solo canoe trip. This trip was on the heels of another longer trip south of the border, so I decided to take it somewhat easy, not travelling too far each day. I paddled a figure 8 loop starting at Stanton Bay on Pickerel Lake travelling south venturing as far as Sark Lake. I made my way back north eventually retracing a little of my route in and ended the trip at Nym Lake.
This trip is a 4 part video series. As I complete each part I'll post a rough route description and the link below. Enjoy! Mark

Part 1 - After getting shuttled to Stanton Bay on Pickerel lake, I travel south, portaging through the B-chain of lakes and spend a night on Fern Lake. The next day I head west, doing a number of portages along the Pickerel River over to Sturgeon Lake, then up the channel to spend a night on Russell Lake. From there I make the short hop over to McDougall Lake and spend the day fishing and enjoy my favorite Quetico campsite.
Part 2 - In this episode I move south from McDougall Lake through a series of beautiful lakes and portages and end up at Cutty Lake. I spend a couple nights getting a little rain and have some good fishing. From there, I travel further south to Sark Lake for night 6.
