Addendum - two of us continued on Carhart's other 1921 paddle trips visiting Lac Lacroix (July 2-13) and Saganaga/Seagull (July 19-22). Carhart's Recreation Report was submitted in 1922; another paddle trip to celebrate that event will be planned for 2022.

This is not a family vacation trip. 97 miles, 51 portages. It’s a history tour for those interested in the origins of the National Designated Wilderness System.
