Another lazy morning as I had all the time in the world to make my meager 11 planned miles for the day. More smoke rolled in so the landscape wasn’t quite as pretty as before.

The water on this leg was noticeably higher, though I still had a few spots I hit the bottom. Overall, it was a pretty relaxing day.

At camp, I somehow lucked into a spot that, for the evening at least, had no mosquitos! I couldn’t believe how freeing it felt to go shirtless fishing from my campsite. I decided to take total advantage of the opportunity and take a dip in the creek to clean myself. The water predictably was cold but nothing a Minnesotan couldn’t handle.
