Trip Introduction:
Beautiful lake and campsite
Report
Brule Lake was beautiful but large. We went when the trees were just about peak. Most sites were occupied but we found site 937 in North Bay. Attempted 935 but we were unable to locate. 937 has 2 landing points, the south end of the shore is better. less rocky, More of a soft landing. The site was sheltered with little lake view, but the south landing spot was big enough for seating to enjoy the lake and view. There were 2 tent pads, relatively level, one had more roots, while the other had rocks UNDERGROUND which made staking the tent down difficult. Latrine was ok. We had a squirrel hanging around the entire time making a lot of noise, and heard some wolves in the morning off into the north west distance. Good bear trees, decent firepit with large flat rocks to put utensils or dry out your socks. I'd post pictures, but I lost my phone on the way back due to some rough waters in the open area going towards site 941.
