Friday, September 01, 2023 Up At 4 AM to drive Mart to the airport. Then back to bed as I only fell asleep at midnight. The night before, we were still pretty amped up from the trip. And it was so easy to get a cold beer and talk about it. Bench racing we used to call it. Then back to the room to repack the bags again. I slept a few more hours then got up to have a marginal "complimentary" breakfast. Then back to the airport with the three of us and off to home. Another great trip and I'm still trying to refine my packing list. Everything worked well but I had too much fishing gear. I don't think I need 3 rods and reels. That's okay, I've got until next August to figure that out. According to mapping site; 66.5 Miles total. 48.4 miles paddling. 18.1 miles portaging. Great time had by all. But I STILL did not get enough fishing done.
