START DAY: Eau Claire, Wisconsin

END DAY: Powerview-Pine Falls, Manitoba

After breakfast, we followed SR-53 North from Eau Claire through Superior Wisconsin up to International Falls, Minnesota where we crossed the Canadian border into Fort Frances, Ontario. We missed a turn onto Ontario 17N which unfortunately had us then cross back into the United States at Rainy River. After another 30 minutes or so, we made our second crossing back into Ontario. It was an interesting conversation with the border patrol agent when she asked, “when were you last in Canada” and I replied “about 30 minutes ago”. She laughed and advised that we were not the first to make that navigational mistake.

We arrived at The Papertown Motor Inn located in Powerview-Pine Falls Manitoba. The scouts absolutely loved the indoor pool & water slide and burned-off much energy after a long car ride from Wisconsin.
