Thursday, June 21, 2007 13 miles and 4 portages. Traveled and fished our way thru Mexican Hat, Nutria, Amber, Aegean creek, to Aegean Lake. Caught a few Pike and a couple of Lakers during the day. Set up camp on the south part of lake at a campsite we dubbed moose camp due to the large set of antlers in camp. Very nice tent sites but not much off the water. Checked out the cave on the North side of Aegean and caught some more lakers and Pike on the way. The other canoe latched on to a 44" pike on the way back to camp. A couple of quick pictures and he was returned to swim away. A hurried supper took place as we all wanted to get back out fishing. A couple more lakers and pike but nothing to match the earlier catch. Got to about 70 today and a low in the 40's.
