Report
Never done one of these so here we go. Apologies if I am way off! Entered in lake one entry point 30. Took about 6 hours for the 4 of us to get through Lake one, two, three, four, and into the hudson. We would have finished a little earlier but messed around for an hour trying to find the site we wanted since 2 of our target sites were taken. There are not that many sites to stay at on the Hudson so we were happy to find one that hosted 4 tents. Caught some decent fish from shore but spent most of our time paddling around and fishing different areas of the lake. There is a lot of downed trees along the edges of this lake that host plenty of fish structure/cover. Weather was great for us, 80 and sunny all 6 days. There are 2 portages about 40 rods to do between Lake one and two, then there is some decent paddling until you hit the end of lake four. Between Lake four and the Hudson are 3 smaller portages. Those ones are very easy and around 10-20 rods. We went completely in on one day and then came completely out in one day. It is a little exahusting but allows us to stay camped and not continuously tear down camp and set back up. We do bring all of our own items except for the canoe rentals. We get those from Spirit of the Wilderness. Such wonderful people that work there! Kudos to them!
