Trip Introduction:
In August of 1990 our younger child had just gotten settled in at MSU and we celebrated our "empty nest" with a canoe trip to a place we had heard about, but never experienced: Temagami. I made a photo album with narrative and pictures from this trip. Recently I discovered that the album had deteriorated markedly, so last winter I scanned the photos and created a new book on Snapfish to save the memories of this little trip. To save time and effort, I scanned the narrative pages instead of retyping them, so I hope you will enjoy the pink paper that I chose back in 1990 to memorialize this trip. It wasn't a great adventure--but it was fun and we remember it fondly. In 1990 we were living in rural Parma, Michigan, so our trip began from there, with an overnight stop at Sault Ste Marie. We have always loved to watch the freighters go through the big locks there.
