Epilogue:

This trip had dry, sunny weather; hence the layer of dust on our dark burgundy car when we loaded up afterwards. I was anxious to buy more film--do any of you young people even remember cameras that used "film?" I had a Yashica35 camera that Neil had gotten in VietNam. This was its last trip, as I did buy a camera with a zoom lens before our long trip in 1992.  Consequently, I had no telephoto lens and no zoom capacity. The panoramic photos were taken with one of those Kodak "disposable" pano cameras. Of course the quality of all of the photography is lessened when old photos are scanned, but this was the best I could do with 36-year-old photos, given the technology I have at hand right now.

Temagami was an interesting experience, but it wasn't as exciting as our BWCA or Quetico trips, and we never returned. The one thing that I noted about the softness and clarity of the water is what I still remember most.

This is Ellis Chapel, near Cambridge, Ontario. It caught our eye as a historical site and we stopped to see what was there. It is open for weddings and christenings, and occasional summer services, but is a retired congregation. It was just a little diversion on our route home, and if I took more photos, they didn't make it into the book in 1990.
