05/13/2014 12:26PM I have this book but I don't use it much because it sticks to the major routes, whereas I usually want information on side routes. This website and other Internet resources are much more valuable, in my opinion. Plus, the book is dated when it comes to regulations - though probably not that much has changed, you would have to double check. That said, if you have not been to Quetico much, it probably does provide a good overview of the different entries and main routes. Like Beymer's BWCA guides, I think his "days" tend toward the long side, even for reasonably strong paddlers (but maybe not if you single portage). |

05/13/2014 12:18PM Fisher maps has them for 10.95 which is 5.00 cheaper than elsewhere. That would offset extra shipping costs. |

05/13/2014 09:16AM Kelsey, A book will not be held up at customs. They haul mail by the semi load to Canada and that stuff passes right through. I have that book and used to use it for most of my trips back in the early 90's. Like all of his books, it's worth the read. Tom |

05/13/2014 08:02AM Not too sure, I just would like to get the book sooner. Sometimes things can get held up at customs when shipping over the border. |

05/13/2014 07:57AM Does the BWJ or Piragis charge more for shipping to Canada? |

05/12/2014 04:03PM Does anyone know a place in Canada that will ship "A Paddler's Guide to Quetico Provincial Park" by Robert Beymer? Or am I going to have to go with Boundary Waters Journal or Piragis? Thanks, Kelsey |
