For the past month I have been planning an early June two week trip to Woodland Caribou Park. The guy I was going with had to drop out.
I am 63 and I have been canoeing since I was 8. Except for one trip to Nahanni I have done 30 trips to Quetico over the last 33 years of which all but three were solo. I use to do 2 week trips when I worked and now I do three week trips. I plan to do three weeks in August 2010.
Since I am getting near the end to physically do these trips I thought about doing a 2 week trip in June, but I didn't want to do it solo nor in Quetico. I would still like to go to Woodland Caribou. I like to canoe 4 or 5 hours a day and then fish. If anyone is interested in tripping like this contact me at:
John, I am planning on a solo trip to the WCPP somewhere around the 10th or 11th of June, but I had only planned on 5-8 or 9 days. I'm planning on entering in at Leano Lake and doing a loop. I too like to paddle around the same amount of time, then set up camp and do a little fishing. I'm 57, been canoeing since I was 14 or 15. So it sounds like we have about the same amount of experience. My trips have been in the BW and Q much the same. Why don't we discuss the possibilities. As I sit here, I had really planned on a solo trip, but I'm flexible. gneg@yahoo.com
