This was a few years ago, the stream coming into Brent Lake from Conmee, late May, 2005. We were camped on the island-top campsite mid-lake, one of my favorite places in the world. The black flies were so bad my buddy stayed in the canoe, and I had to retouch 1/2 dozen blurry blobs out of the frame--they were eating me alive. Birch, balsam fir, spruce and pine.

Well I guess you did a good job retouching . . . =) Heading to Brent this September . . . --Goose
