Has anyone made it, solo and double portaging, from Missing Link EP to Little Sag in one day? Whether yes or no, any details to share about the route? I think I have read every trip report and campsite review I can find. I am very familiar with the Round through Tuscarora leg of the trip. For the record I'm assuming I will not make it that far in a day. Curious about the possibility though.

It's been about 20 years for me, but I think you would be killing yourself to get to Little Sag via Missing Link/Tuscarora in one day. You may get there in one day, but may need a day or two to recover from the effort, if you are still alive.
I would suggest stopping overnight on Tuscarora, and then get to Little Sag the next day. The Missing Link to Tuscarora portage is one of the tougher ones in the BWCA. Very hilly and rocky, and long (376 rods if I remember right). There are some really nice campsites on Tuscarora that are worth spending a night on.

It is going to depend on the condition of the long portage to Tuscarora. When it is dry it seems easy, but it can also be covered with water much of the way. You have lots of options. If you get an early start and you are feeling good when you reach Tuscarora the five portages to Little Sag are all pretty easy and short. If you are blown out when you reach Tuscarora or get there in the middle of the afternoon what better place to be! You'll be on Little Sag early the next day.
If you push through you will be slow and sluggish the next morning. If you break at Tuscarora you'll feel good and get to Little Sag early as it is an easy run. You'll be getting out to fish on Little Sag about the same time either way!
