Anyone practice them?

Completely wet?

Drag em' closer to shore so you can touch bottom?

What are your techniques?

Ever practice with all your tripping gear?

Do you not even bother with it?

My previous Bailer/bilge pump thread got me thinking. (That can be dangerous.)

Thanks.

Think about it, but never practice or worry much about it. About the only thing I do in swift or rough water is wear the PFD, make sure everything is lashed in, and untie my boot laces.

Hasn't happened yet, at least away from shore.

I'd have to go with, "Drag em' closer to shore so you can touch bottom".

Years ago I tried reentring a solo in deep water without help and couldn't do it. I'd be less able to do it now.

I used to be able to re enter a kayak and a tandem canoe, but the solo is beyond me

Pretty much the same here, except my Crocs don't have laces... :)
