i just got a permit for the LIS North in the middle of June.last year i went in the first week of June and got caught in that nasty unstable weather that went through Minnesota.i had planed on have a good look at Coleman Island,shore line around it before going into Boot Bay.i ended up stuck on Snow Bay four nights! it was nice to be out camping but the weather put a cramp on things for the first time--ever!!!..so anyway lets hope this June is quiet.i'll be posting about weight savings and meal planing as time go's on..

Yikes! That pic is rough. Here's to better weather this year!

I was there in late May last year and the weather was almost hot. I ended up paddling from Pocket Creek up and around to Loon Lake. Didn't have near the wind you had, just a good stiff breeze. My butt was toast after all that paddling. Bernice, my dog stood up for quite a while too. Good luck this year.
