Heading in Oct 3rd in the Brule Lake area. Temperance, Cherokee most likely. The playoff streak is ending and would love to pick up the broadcasts on a portable radio. Anyone know what station to tune in to?

Doubtful. I've tried. Sometimes you can get some skip from the eveleth radio station if you're in Ely, but Cherokee, temperance areas are slim to none when it comes to baseball or most other radio stations.

Could try wtip or a station out of Duluth used to broadcast the games. Unless the hills get In the way

Looks like 1340 out of Eveleth is the closest station. I would scroll the AM dial around game time to see what you can find. We only trip in the fall and winter and have never had trouble getting Vikings or Wild games. We even listened to MNF from a station out of Chicago one night while winter camping up the Echo Trail.

I spent 8 nites on Brule last summer, radio reception is not very good there. I am pretty confident that you will not be able to get any Twins channels. (I tried) Perhaps skip around am stations after dark and you may get lucky, especially if the team the twins are playing are on some obscure station.

Probably a good idea to skip the trip so you can catch the game. On a trip, you'd have lots of work and physical effort. At home, turn on the game, crack a beer on the Lazy boy, and watch over-paid people play a kids game. Easy peasy.

It's more and more common to get a cell signal; you can listen to the twins by googling "listen to the twins on wcco" on your phone. I can feel a deep playoff run coming up; no kidding.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I'll see what we can dial up. As for Bobber's comments, maybe I'll portage a lazyboy up there with me or I'll just kick back in a hammock and cheer the boys on, overpaid or not. Go Twins!
