The online system for Quetico tends to be rather confusing. Start here, click the "Backcountry" tab, under which you select "Quetico" on the first line and select "Quetico" in the Park drop-down menu (why you have to select "Quetico" twice is way beyond my ability to understand, but if you don't, you don't get into the proper permit system. Then enter dates, hit "search", and the Quetico backcountry page comes on. Under Quetico Backcountry, click on the "map" option and you'll see the various entry lakes available through Prairie Portage. I used June 3 through June 12 to bring up this reservation page, and it appears that every PP entry lake still has available permits.

No you are seeing it wrong. The Ontario website is just awful.
Looks like Prairie Portage is wide open. Here’s a screenshot of some dates in July.
As you wade through the website, make sure you click on Quetico and backcountry to find permits. I would tell you how but each time I go on there I have to play hide and seek with the website to find it.
Someone on here had a presentation/seminar on how to get a permit through Ontario Parks.

Oh, forgot to remind you that if you were looking at dates more than five months out, they're blocked and shown as unavailable.
