Police?! So not SAR, Customs or Rangers...

Keep us posted on this high-speed canoe chase; the Fugitive Voyageur may need to paddle hard to escape.

They're a few days late... we left the Q Boundary Point on 6/2.

Escaped via Dickies Portage.

Based on a little bit more info from the QPP FB page, this may indeed be a Rescue situation.

Virtually all inland SAR operations in North America are conducted under the authority of and at the direction of law enforcement agencies. In Canada it’s the provincial police. In Minnesota it’s the county sheriff. In Alaska it’s the Alaska State Troopers. In NH it’s New Hampshire Fish and Game (because a governor decided that decades ago after witnessing their superior competence during an aircraft search).

Yes. This is a rescue of a friend. He and his dad and brothers were fishing and got caught in the storm on Wednesday afternoon. 1 is still missing. Please send all your energy to pray for him to be found.
