I’m just curious… With the minimal snowfall that we’ve received, has anybody had any noteworthy winter camping trips into the BWCA?

Not into the BWCA, but I have been out into the state forests. Nothing too exciting, as I can't snowshoe or ski. But it still is nice to get out.

Five nights in the Hiawatha NF in Upper Michigan. I was able to drive to my campsite this year which is normally a 1.5 mile walk on a logging road.

This year would be the year to go- you would be so much more mobile-less slush, no 4 feet of snow in the woods. Lake travel on skiis would be very fast.
