Mocha - just heard back on the Otter canoes.

Unfortunately, they stopped making these although we are trying get the guy to start making them on request. These Otters are 18.5' Kevlar Laker Hull model.

The closest currently available are Souris River 18', Northwest Canoe 18' and the Wenonah MN II.

Thanks Mocha!

According to the calculation the total trip distance is just over 33 miles. Our total time from PP to Kawnipi, split over 1.5 days, was just under 12 hours of paddling and portaging. In the Otter canoes, we average about 4.3 mph paddling based on the Garmin GPS unit we used this time. We also double trip on all portages. Typically we take the Falls Chain route that we can do in about 11.5 hours.

My buddies own the two Otters we paddle - I'll see if I can get some info on these for you.

The double burner stove we use weighs in at 5.2 lbs. (4.4 lbs. for the folding stove plus 0.8 lbs. for the two primus burners). With the two burners removed, the stove folds to 3/8" so it slips easily into the back of a pack. The stand adds another 2.7 lbs.

congrats on the great fishing success! plus, that seems like a really long haul from PP to Kawa Bay in two days, you guys must be very organized at portage landings and efficient paddlers.
loved all the photos, the little table for prep and cooking... what is the weight on that?
and what canoes are you using? looks like it says Otter on the sticker.
