04/10/2018 10:38AM My permit is for the 18th at Stanton Bay. I'm also concerned so I talked to Shane at Canoe Canada yesterday and he said to not get too concerned until the 1st of May. Pickerel because of the east-west location and wind shouldn't be bad (might dodge ice sheets) but the other lake trout lakes may be tough. Of course THOSE were my plan! Let's hope it warms up a bit! |

04/10/2018 10:37AM Thanks. We are entering through either McAree or Bottle portage, from Crane Lake. Plan to spend time in Darky, Argo and McAree. We enter on May 20th. |

04/10/2018 10:22AM Where are you going in ? The big and deeper lakes will go out last. You might want to consider your route options from your entry point... You could need to rely on smaller lakes, creeks, rivers etc... |

04/09/2018 01:42PM Thanks Justin. Getting nervous as the temps seem to be much colder this April versus previous years. Our outfitter seems to think we should be ok, but getting nervous. Good luck with your trip. |

04/09/2018 10:59AM Your guess is likely about as good as anyone else at this point. I have a permit for the Q on 5-18 & am wondering the same thing. A lot can change in 40 some days. |

04/09/2018 10:10AM Does anyone have any info on ice out this year. Planning a trip in mid-may (20th). Given the current weather conditions in Quetico, I'm afraid that ice out may be later than previous years. thanks, kevin |
