yellowhorse: "awbrown: "This year I attended my 7th Winter Camping Symposium in a row. It's always my favorite get together.

I had a new toy this year and was able to take some aerial shots with my new drone. Thought I would share a couple.

In case you don't know, or aren't familiar with the Winter Camping Symposium (WCS), a bit of background information might be helpful.

This was the 20th anniversary of the get together and has been held, the last several years, at YMCA Camp Miller, in Sturgeon Lake, Mn. USA. Around 250 winter camping enthusiasts gather for 4-5 days of sharing stories and attending classes and/or seminars during the day. Meals can be purchased provided by the Camp Miller staff and there are movies, speakers and parties in the evenings.

For more information, please refer to the Winter Camping Symposium website.

There is a private (ask to join) Facebook page called Traditional Winter Camping where I posted a nice little video. Anyone interested in the subject can join and I encourage all to do just that. Lots of great info with over 2000 members now.
