These are STABILicers on my Air Force Mukluks. I like the replaceable "sheet metal screw" studs and the solid foot-bed. They weigh a bit more but feel more stable and comfortable than the coil or chain style.

I'm not Josh but to answer your question...the size of micro-spike you purchase is based on the sort of footwear you'll be wearing. When you look at the micro-spike sizing chart there are sizes based on whether you're wearing a standard hiking boot of something more like a pair of Sorels or mukluks. You'll need to pick based on your footwear and the information in the appropriate chart.

If you're not sure what you need, please feel free to e-mail me. We have these charts on file here in our outdoor program office. I don't come over here all that often so feel free to contact me at: snapper.petta@oneonta.edu

That's all for now. Take care and until next time....be well.

Thanks JoshP. Can you comment on sizing? What size mukluk, what size spikes do you have?

I use the kahtoola microspikes. Well worth the money and no issues using them with my Steger Mukluks.

I’m looking for a pair of ice cleats to wear with steger mukluks. Any recommendations?

Thanks
