01/09/2019 09:10PM You're likely going to get better info here than you will in most books, in my opinion. Kevin Callan's book "Canoeing Quetico" covers much of that route (he doesn't go as far north as Kawnipi, turning west instead at Keewatin to go through Williams, Payne, Trant, etc., before meeting up with your planned route on Khash). You could ask in the Quetico forum...might get some advice there. I have done that trip many times now, so if you'd like to email me, I'll fill you in there. Also, a quick search of the site will bring up some old threads that cover the route, too. |

We'll be going from Moose up to Agnes, Kawnipi, then back down Kahshahpiwi and make our way back to Falls Lake. I'm just trying to get as much info as possible as to campsites and portages along the way. I've taken him on a couple of trips already but this by far is the deepest we've gone and the furthest. |

01/09/2019 02:39PM Robert Beymer who does the Eastern/Western BW books also has a Q book. I've never read it, but I know he does a great job with the entry point descriptions in his BW books. |

01/09/2019 01:38PM I know that there are books that talk about entry points for the boundary Waters and different trips out of each point. Is there such a book for the Q? My son wants to do my original boy scout trip that I did in the early '80's. We plan on leaving May 20 or so, through Prairie Portage, up through Agnes and Kawnipi, and then back down. Any info would be great. Thanks |
