Round Lake access to Missing Link EP#51 to Snipe Lake. Two nights on Snipe. To Cross Bay Lake for the last night then out to Ham Lake EP#50 and Cross River access. Short walk back to Round Lake for your car. Tuscarora Outfitters is right there if you need them.

6 portages. Two the first day(the longest ones), one the third day and three the last. Cross Bay Lake to Cross River access is an easy half day out.

Snipe is a beautiful lake with lots to explore for your extra day there. I liked campsite #554 on Snipe, but others are fine. Good route for wildlife and smaller lakes. I think a day trip into Copper Lake would be fun. Cross Bay Lake is likely to have moose. The southern-most campsite on Cross Bay lake, # 558, is a gem. I don't think any of this route has great fishing lakes so not likely to be busy for your late May/early June time frame.

I thought there would be a lot of responses but three days makes it hard.

I'll suggest enter at Little Gabbro and head through Bald Eagle and Turtle or Gull to Clearwater. If you don't want to base all three nights there, head back to Bald Eagle and go up Isabella River for a night. A variation would be enter at Snake River and head to Clearwater.

Hello all, me and a couple friends were looking to go into the BWCA at the end of May or early June. We are looking for a more out of the way EP. Don't care about fishing. We are probably going to be in for about 3.5 days. I have been in twice. Once Slim Lake for a couple days (I was thinking we could go in their again, that was the type of trip that we're looking for this time - but I wouldn't mind seeing something new). I also did the Frost River loop. Neither of my friends have been in the Bdub and have medium to little paddling experience.

Any recommendations for EPs? I have been looking at the map a bit but would like some other input. Probably base-camping or maybe moving camp but not too far at a time. Portages okay but not looking for an ambitious loop or anything.

Thanks for any help!
