04/24/2019 10:31AM You need to be "added to the group" before you can post a thread. Otherwise you are only "previewing" that forum. |

04/24/2019 09:37AMminnmike: " You may want to check in the PMA forum" To be honest I can’t figure out how to create a thread in that forum. I even have a hard time finding it. New to this site and the forum is hard to navigate. When I get into the “PMA Paradise” i don’t see an option to create a new thread. |

04/23/2019 06:42PM We are base camping for 5 days 4 nights on Ima September 22-26th 2019. This will be my first trip in the BWCA with my cousin and two friends. I am planning on bushwhacking from Ima back in to Solitude lake. I intend for sure on at least making the walk through and seeing how it looks and getting some pictures. If we find a route that is feasible to get a solo kayak (or even better a canoe) back there, we will do that the next day. Has anyone on here been back to Solitude? |

02/08/2019 08:55PM It looks pretty interesting, it’s got some size. Maybe next year I’ll take a crack at it. It’s the irresistible draw of the unknown. I wish I was about 30 years younger! |

02/08/2019 08:17PM It sounded like the other lakes in Spider were easier to get into though. I didn't look real close, but it just seemed like it might be surrounded by hills . . .? Couple that with a lot of blowdown and . . . If you take a whack at it, report back. |

02/08/2019 06:05PMboonie: "A little info here " Thanks, Boonie! It sounds like it me be a mighty bushwhack to get in there, even if it’s been almost 20 years since the big blow down. Still, I’m surprised that no one has mentioned it in a trip report. There are some serious bushwhackers in this community. |

02/08/2019 05:27PM No info on the lake. My guess is what looks "close" on satellite images turns into a whole different beast once the bushwhack starts... |

02/08/2019 04:04PM Does anyone have any information on Solitude Lake? It's in the Spider Lake PMA, but looks to be only about 1/4-mile NW of the NW end of Ima. I couldn't find any online information (i.e., trip reports) for this lake, which is a bit strange since it's so close to Ima. Being that close to an easily accessible lake, I would have thought that it would be visited regularly. |
