UPBoy	09/18/2020 07:42PM I believe in order to print your own permit you must have selected a permit station/location pick up point that is closed to people like the Tofte Ranger station. Sawbill Outfitters is open to pick up a permit so you need to change the pickup location for your permit to Tofte Ranger station. You can do this on-line at https://www.recreation.gov/

okinaw55	09/18/2020 04:56PM Ok thanks guys. I printed the email. Do I need to let Sawbill know I wont be picking up from them or do you think I'm good as is? I like this printing yourself method. I hope they consider keeping it that way in the future.
bwcadan	09/18/2020 02:32PM I changed this year in September. Called the Forest Service Ranger Station and they handled everything. I changed to pick up there and since they are not open for physical pickup, I was able to print a copy of the permit from my computer. Just take it with you and have a good trip. Some outfitters are open for business for handling the permit and my understanding is you pick up as previously if that would be the case with your outfitter.
plander	09/18/2020 01:44PM I believe you can print a copy of your email reservation and simply use this as the permit. For official guidance click on the down arrow in the alert at this top of this Link for details.
okinaw55	09/18/2020 01:23PM Quick question. When I reserved our permit I chose Sawbill as the pickup location. If I wanted to pick up from Tofte ranger station instead, what would I need to do? We leave on the 20th.
