08/09/2021 04:43PM Even during a normal year, the Frost River is usually not recommended in August or later trips. It gets very shallow after Pencil Lake and especially towards Afton. |

08/08/2021 10:59AM I just completed the Lady Chain/Louse River route on 8/2-8/5. The staff at Sawbill Outfitters said the back half of the Lady Lakes Chain route and first half of Louse River route would be a little harder and they were correct. Passable but a lot of pullovers and squeezes through narrow rock channels. They specifically did not recommend trying the Frost River route right now. |
