Dang, thats a nice plate of food. I want to trip with you guys next time.
Good report! The Devil's Cascade is fun to see. After seeing pictures of your supper and reading other reports, I am planning to grill steak on our first night too.
My son and I took the same trip, that same week. Noted the same pictures we have. We had great weather and no bugs. You went in a day after we did. Fishing was poor for us, but we heard the wolves one evening and it was the best. Namaste Woodpecker
Thanks for the report
how much did your food pack weigh
Nice trip report. I look forward to seeing that area in May.
thanks for the report we are doing the same trip on the same days this year cant wait
I would share that the BWJ listed the campsite (# 7) that we camped on on Upper Pauness as being the least desireable of all Pauness sites ....we found it dry and no mucky landing, in fact we pulled the canoe right up on a grassy area...
The only minus we found was the lack of good wood...it was literally ROTTEN pine...the rock outcropping was perfect for sunset pics...
Nice trip-thanks for sharing. FYI for anyone headed to Upper or Lower Pauness. There is a nice campsite view in the latest edition of the BWJ for these two lakes.
Looks like fun was had by all! Good times.
Looking for an easy route for a novice paddler group. enjoyed your report. looks like you ate good. How do you keep food cold? I will take dehydrated stuff
I would like info on your route please
Thanks for the trip report. I have to visit that area one of these years.
Enjoyed reading your report and the pics too. Thanks.
Woodpecker, thanks for the report. We are heading out of 14 on Tuesday next week. How long did it take you, including your sightseeing tour of Devil's Cascade to get to Heritage?
Sounds like you guys had a great trip. Looking forward to more photos.
