That beaver pond on the shell portage sure is annoying." I've done that portage enough times, that it is just part of the trip at this point. That is a go to EP for me. I may actually try to get back up for a solo in a few weeks if I can swing it with my work schedule! |

I'll try to get up a trip report eventually, but my wife already wrote one up on her blog. Sure do. I hope your trip was great as well! |

I was on the island site on Phoebe three years ago, and the views were nothing like they were 10 years earlier. I had a favorite sitting place 10 years ago, and it was pretty much covered by a small tree in 2013. Had to look around to find it, even though I knew exactly where it was in 2003. Tomster |

We saw the same nest on Lower Pauness portage and an inhabitant was not real happy with us being there a few weeks ago. (see pic) I like the III a lot with the kid, and he's turning into a good paddler in short intervals. We did a Souris River rigged for 3 last time, and that worked well, too, but the MNIII seemed faster and tracked better in the wind, IMO. The bass was fun, and the eagle was cool Definitely the same nest. |

How did you like the MNIII? |
