Not quite the normal beautiful image, but special in its own way. Beaver dragging branch of silver maple it just dropped across field next to Loch and Dam #1 on Mississippi River. IDS, Wells Fargo, Guthrie Theater in background - downtown Minneapolis.

now, that's cool! you have a trail cam out there? or you just like to lurk around in the wee hours of the morning? does the city trap any beaver or just let them do their thing until things get clogged up?

I have put a trail cam out several times but I just leave it out overnight. Few people even know they are there. I've seen 3 at a time while standing on the Stone Arch Bridge, and no one else notices. They have a big lodge near De LaSalle High school and another somewhere close, but they don't build dams - they just eat the trees they like which tend to be the smaller ones.

Just a goose, and some other birds. Minnehaha creek dog walking path, from today. Lots of paddlers out. Water is crystal clear. I was just taking a short break from my weeds :(
