Has been my favorite show for quite awhile. Was pretty disappointed with the series premier last night. This season the contestants have partners which is obviously contradicting to what the show is supposed to be about.

I'm watching it. I've enjoyed the past seasons, but this one might get the early boot. I'm not sure if I like the premise. It seems like they're setting it up more as a drama between family members. That kind of stuff is usually manufactured via editing. I normally have little patience for that stuff.

We've been watching it since the beginning. This season seems a bit diluted for lack of a better term. But, we've been watching it.

I'm a bit disappointed in this season. We're at day 15 and nobody has any sort of a shelter other than a simple tarp. In years past it seemed like a good shelter was a priority and I've always been amazed at their creativity in building them.

Spoiler alert!................

Last night we had our first team jointly tap out.

I actually like the new format. I guess not so much loving the new format as much as I am in the fact that the producers altered the old format.

I got a little bummed during the last season watching people starve. By the end, after almost 90 days, they had a couple of individuals that were pretty sick.

If they had continued with the same format, the producers were going to end up with somebody dying.

I find the show entertaining although I miss the Patagonia locale. If they wanted to mix things up they simply could make people move instead of make camp somewhere as in previous seasons. Or present a challenge to overcome.

It's funny, the show has parallels to this forum. Whereas the show's producers have forgotten what alone means, people on this forum have forgotten what solo means.

It's TV and I understand their limitations.
