I've been in contact with him for around a year after I offered up my solo canoe on this website to anyone who wanted to visit AK, and I fed him information on things to do.

Mjmjkun didn't want to canoe (good thing because it was really windy today) but he stopped by my place since he was spending 10 days vacationing on the Kenai Peninsula.
Car camping with some hotel stays.
I had the day off so I gave him a 6 hour guided Ranger Tour.

What a nice guy Mike is, I feel very fortunate to have made his acquaintance.
Mike was very talkative and I've always been a good listener, so we complimented each other.
I appreciated Mike's vocal gift, because outside of my wife, it was the first time I have hiked with someone else in heavy Grizzly Bear country.
This year has been bad in AK, with the recent Maulings and deaths due to bears.
Because of this, I was able to let my guard down a bit from concentrating on problem bear encounters and enjoy the hike because of the noise we were making.

Thank-you Mike for an enjoyable day, bringing me out of my solatary shell.
And since I forgot, thanks for the dinner at Gwins, you didn't need to pay.

Pics of where we hiked today.
None were taken today, I took these pics last year.
