Hello all, I'm trying to have one or two successful rabbit hunts this winter and am looking for any advice from those with experience. I would love to have a good excuse to go to the bwca before May but if you have other areas to suggest I'm interested in those too. I have been eyeing up whitewater skatepark WMA as another option for a trip.

Any info about hunting rabbits is welcome!

Thanks

I’ve eaten Cotton Tails Rabbits, and know many others that also do. They are quite tasty. I don’t know any one that eats Snowshoe Hares. For curiosity’s sake I looked it up and see that Snowshoe Hares have very dark meat, and are quite gamey. That said, I have never seen a Cotton Tail anywhere near the BWCA. So, you might want to stick with the Whitewater WMA area.
